Can you kick the spell cast on iso scept?

Yep! Additional costs may be paid (you do have to actually pay for them, they aren't free), so add-ons like kicker and entwine are usable. Don't confuse it with alternate costs, though, that replace the cmc with something else, which you cannot do, like overload.

I have a friend who plays a  {Grand Arbiter Augustin IV} EDH with iso in it. He's taking it out actually. When you get it off yeah it wins you games with stuff like  {Boomerang} on it, other times it's a dead card.
