Shocklands were the exact same except they were just lands not Swamp Forest, etc. would they be as valuable to you?

For me yes bc I don't play modern that much and my standard deck doesn't care about land type.

They are basically only thing closest to dual lands from revised we will ever get

Being able to tutor them with spells that specify "forest, swamp island etc" is a huge advantage

Once print stops they go back up

That was a serious question. And also which ones do you think will be worth the most. Like I have a foil of each one for my EDH deck but if I wait till they go out of standard and trade them how much do you they'll be worth?

I think shocks usually go up in price slowly over a few years. Because they are used a ton in modern,  they should keep value well, especially foils.

As a person heavily invested in original duals I hope these are the closest they ever get to a reprinting.

Also shocklands wouldn't be nearly as good (at least for the majority) if they weren't also two basic land types.

Lets put it this way: when would they reprint them again.

the next time the ravnica plane rolls around. I would think they wouldn't just abandon it. And they're going to have a multi-color two color theme again sometime. So, they will reprint them again. At least I'm 90% sure

Besides, they left the storyline open with the uprising of the gateless. I'm guessing pherexia, sense memnarch had to have gotten the loxodon from ravnica (no other plane has them). Also, that one gateless card that gives angels...ummm...

The first three are through logical observations. And the last two are to balance out an equal number of colors on both sides, because that's what wizards would probably do
