Anyway. How can I turn her down? Or let her know I'm not interested before the flirting gets out of hand?

Talk to her. Usually that's a good way to get a good real friend. Instead of just shoving it in her face that you're not interested maybe try taking her somewhere nice. Or maybe even somewhere average. Just try to make friends. It sounds corny but it has saved me in more than one occasion from feeling bad

How about just keep being yourself. If she ends up crossing a line you're not comfortable with, just tell her the truth. "I'm sorry if I have you the wrong impression, but I just don't feel 'that way' about you."
