What are the best mono colored modern decks?

The best is definitely Mono-U Merfolk, then RDW. Nykthos Green and Death and Taxes occasionally do well, but the first two are top tier for a reason.

I know I say this all the time but he didn't ask for tier 1 decks he asked for good ones. Mono White is looking good for modern. So many boardclears

He asked for the best Modern decks, tier 1 is the {Cream of the Crop}.

White Weenie stax feat {Æther Vial}, {Leonin Arbiter}, {Aven Mindcensor}, and {Flickerwisp}. It's a tier 2 deck, but it has some good matchups like pod and scapeshift, although tron makes it want to cry.

Hmm.. What about 2 color decks? I might as well get fancy if im getting into modern

Best two-color deck: {Splinter Twin} ({U}{R}). This focuses on the combo of {Splinter Twin} or {Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker} + {Deceiver Exarch} or {pestermite} and can go all-in on combo or play more with more tempo using {Vendilion Clique} and {Grim Lavamancer} as alternate wincons. Both versions run {Remand}, {Serum visions}, and {lightning bolt} as 4-ofs.

Actually he asked for the best... The best are the tier 1 decks...

He didnt ask for a decent sub-par deck.
