Minus the side-board, the deck is under $20, so I would call this a budget deck.

I'd run some dual lands, and cut the {hive stirring}s for some burn: {magma jet}, {lightning strike}, {warleader's helix}.

How much money are you willing to spend on this/how many dual lands do you have?

Willing to spend up to $30, and have no shock lands to speak of.

Well, if you want to spend some money, then you could add some dual lands to make this more consistent with the mana base.  Shocklands are good because they hold value relatively well, but scrylands are cheaper.

I would strongly suggest the burn, you need creature removal.

So as a budget deck, how do things sound?

Seeing as it is budget and need a way to fix mana I would honestly sugges the guild gates here. It's a way to fix your mana base without spending much (maybe a quarter at most for non foil). I would also consider boros charm in replacement of rootborn. Does the same thing plus some. Little mana intensive but not terribly
