{spirit mantle} + {kjeldoran royal guard} = guard lives and you take no damage

Wally

Use with {shaman en-kor} and protect your other creatures too :)
All for the low cost of 1W per creature :)

{Spirit Mantle} only covers creature damage. So with the original post you just wouldn't block anything. The shaman would be great with {Inviolability} or {Cho-Mano, revolutionary}. 👌

Maximo

What's that white creature that can block infinite creatures? {palace guards} or something?

Good combo to bore your opponent to death lol

BlackJester

I find control pretty boring in general. Hopefully you have a evasive beater or other kill method ready too.

Coffee Vampire

Or if worse comes to worst, a bigger deck! ;)

Superkurd13

White control is particularly boring. It doesn't prevent you from playing normally but it wil make everything you try and do... Be worthless

Agreed I do that to my friends sometimes because they like to build decks to shut mine down specifically so boring them to death is how I get my kicks

How does this work vs trample?

All combat damage will be prevented so no trample, deathtouch, lifelink, firststrike, and doublestrike. The only way around this is a pro white creature.

Hmm I don't agree about the trample. Wouldn't the trample creature only deal 'enough to be lethal' damage to this creature, and then send the rest of the damage to the next creature / player / planeswalker?

Plus any unblockable creature can get past (including but not limited to creatures with fear, intimidate, shadow, pro creatures, etc)

Bilygote

That's why the original combo I posted is the better of the two
