Flashback vs CMC

If I cast {faithless looting} with its flashback cost is its CMC still 1?  I believe it would be.....checking for {counterbalance} purposes.

Yes, it'd be 1. CMC counts the mana costs in the top right corner of the card, no other costs like kicker or X.

Right, and X is zero anywhere but on the stack.
