What's your best and worst trades? Trades where you got ripped off, or someone over traded for a card?


My worst: My Foil M14 {Mutavault} for his {Kalonian Hydra}, back when both were $40 at Starcity

My best: My foil {Fathom Mage} for his 2x {Restoration Angel}. He was desperate for the card for some reason... This was when mine was $1, both Restos together were $45

I traded {tymeret, the murder king} for a foil MM {blood moon} at the prerelease. Then traded the blood moon for 2 obzedats and a pithing needle.

I traded two Sorin vs Tibalt {Spectral Procession}s for a foil non-prerelease promo {Phyrexian Metamorph}. In other news, back when I was heavier into making proxies and tokens, I made around 70-ish of them for my friend (he wanted an awesome cube without spending a billio on it) and he traded me about $200 in awesomeness, including 3 shock lands, a foil {City of Brass} (MMA), 2 check lands, {Sublime Archangel}, {Prime Speaker Zegana} and a bunch of other stuff I needed for my Rafiq EDH deck at the time. I also helped the same guy one day when his car got screwed over and he gave me his play set of {Sphinx's Revelations}. Needless to say, I can't remember anything terrible about my trading experiences.

Traded my first stomping ground I pulled her for a buncha junk rares I wanted. My end arrived to the other guy but he didn't think of customs or using a non perforated envelope so when his item arrived it was just an empty envelope :/

And a few months ago when DGM was hot I traded my elesh for ral zarek (needed to complete set)

Best: {Vraska the Unseen} for a  {Thoughtseize} at last weekend's pre-release.

Bunch of junk commons and uncommons for an {Ætherling}.

Junk rares for {Pack Rat} and {Nightveil Specter} back when they weren't worth anything.

A stack of innistrad to dragon's maze mill cards (common to rare) + {Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker} + {Lazav, Dimir Mastermind} + {Watery Grave}   for two {Mutavault}'s.

Worst: {Garruk, Caller of Beasts} for {Kalonian Hydra}

I once had 6
{Obzedat, Ghost Council}s. I now have two. And all the ones I traded we're done when Obze was down to around $5. :-/

Best: Recently traded off 4 {Deathrite Shamans} (prebanning) for a play set of {Desecration Demon}s. Really happy about that one...

Worst: Needed {Elspeth, Sun's Champion} really badly after of came out and had to trade $85 for a foil one just so I could have one to play. Ended up trading off two {Garruk, Caller of Beasts}, when they were 15 and two {Voice of Resurgence}. I still hate that I had to do this...

Worst was my  {Elspeth, Sun's Champion} for 2  {Thundermaw Hellkite} at the time I lost out on a lot but I really wanted the dragons
Turns out now it's probably a good trade

Best was my  {Scavenging Ooze} for her 2x  {Watery Grave} and 2x  {Nephalia Drownyard}

My best trade? I don't have one because my trades have mostly been right around the same price at the time and have lost/gained close to the same value
