I hate that guy and would rather not play him. If you don't use infinite combos, he is weak. If you do include infinites, he is unbeatable since he combos with everything. He seems never fun.

Then again I never have seen him in action. Am I wrong?

Yeah. Sliver queen can be fair or degenerate. The bant and esper commanders from te new decks can be fair or degenerate. That spore guy is either degenerate or worthless. In my opinion he is worse than {zur the enchanter}, not that he is stronger, but at least you COUld build a fair zur deck. (No one keeps him fair, but they could.
