I think the art is pretty cool in a way.
It show's that Jace "evolved" and now as a responsability to protect Ravnica. 
Sure it's different of what we're used to but story and beings change and evolve so it's cool that the art kinda reflects that.
It's just my opinion.

Believe it or not, I like Tibalt, my Modern deck is built around discarding cards and he's the best way to do it

Pretty sure there are creatures that get stronger when you discard cards? Also Hellbent effects?

I toyed with a Tibalt hellbent, trying to mix it with {Chandra Ablaze} ultimate and some Grixis unearth type effects.
