If I turn an artifact into an artifact creature and then sac it (or it dies, whatever) and it becomes imprinted on mimic vat, what will it be when mimic vat uses it's 2nd ability to bring a token of it out?

{Sydri, Galvanic Genius}
{Mimic Vat}

The mimic vat imprints the card itself, and not any effects that being applied to it. Therefor, if an artifact is made into a creature by an effect, then dies and is placed into the {Mimic Vat}, the copy that vat's 2nd effect would produce is simply a copy of the card itself, without modifying effects from its previous life. Or, in short, it would produce a non-creature token of the artifact card that was placed in the vat.

it will simply be an artifact, because permanents forget extra types when they leave the battlefield

Well. It isn't a creature when it was in the graveyard anyway...
