Dark DC comics

So. Aside from Watchmen (which I really don't care for) and The Killing Joke (finally read today. so amazing)
I don't really know any dark DC comics/story arcs
I heard of supposedly another good Batman one but can't seem to find it
I think it's called "Death in the Family" or Death of The Family?

Anyone know some good dark comics?

If you like dark comics, anything from Darkhorse is wonderful.

Sandman is extremely dark but awesome. Also, Preacher is another really good one.

If you like action, Blade of the Immortal is freaking nuts.

Pretty much any comic shop should have them. They are still making Sandman I do believe.

The spawn comics are also dark but those are from image comics.

Check out the Vertigo imprint of DC. It focuses on darker, more mature comics. Preacher and Sandman are both from Vertigo. Swamp Thing also gets pretty dark.

Read the short "In Heaven" piece and it was really cool. Plus I love the movie.
