Hey guys and gals, I've wanted to build a {Maze's End} deck for a long time now and I have finally gotten around to making one. I haven't really looked at other deck lists I just went with it. Turned out to be an America burn/control. Would love feed back.

I've updated the deck. I've removed the 4  {Shock} and 1  {Haunted Plate Mail}. I've put in 2  {Izzet Charm}, 2  {Anger of the Gods}, and 1 more  {Wild Guess}.

Wild guess I don't recall was reprinted for any of the current sets. I would try and use divination or read the bones for some draw power

Wild guess was reprinted in m14. Actually divination would be a bit more usual here. Read the bones worries me with the self burn but ill think about it. I was thinking wild guess because using the extra gates I draw as discard

I'm thinking if I should use a planeswalker in this deck. One of these three if not all of them:  {Elspeth, Sun's Champion},  {Vraska the Unseen}, or  {Ral Zarek}

I'm actually goin to use  {Divination} like you hinted at.

I went 2-1 playing against a few friends with this deck. One had bug control, another gruul aggro, and the last mono black dev. I lost to the gruul because I got mana screwed for to long in one and I couldn't draw maze to save my life

i'm not sure about your land base. seems like you should run more of certain gates and less of others depending on what colors you need, and then maybe even run some shocklands. although maybe you shouldn't take advice from me, my maze's end deck failed terribly

I've seen a few lists that always have 2 of each just to be able to have a chance of drawing a gate to save you a crack of maze. I've tried to cut a few of certain gates just like you hinted at but with this set up I usually get 2 or 3 gates with maze out that lets me search for other ones

Steam Augury is terrible in this deck. Especially without {Elixir of Immortality}. Putting your wincon in the grave without any recursion for it is a bad idea.

Ah I see what you mean. Should I just drop more draw instead?

I'd opt for some {Riot Control} since you're pretty low on life gain.

Hmm good idea. That will help for the aggro decks I will swap the steams for riots

If your going with the burn side, {crackling perimeter} is an amazing card.  Also most maze end decks run {prophet of kruphix} for the untaps.  Might hurt you with all the destruction, but still keep in mind.
