Actually, they would enter as copies of {Essence of the Wild}, making them 6/6. {Sigil Captain} won't affect it.

I have a question about essence: if I enchanted it with something that gave it vigilance or any ability, would the copies get that ability too? Or if I gave him +4/+4 would my token copies be 10/10

They would not. Copying means copying whatever's printed on the card including:

Name, mana cost, power/toughness values, oracle text, and (not that anyone cares) flavor text

Enchantments and temporary bonuses aren't printed

Also they become the same color. That's important.
