Melira combos

I apologize in advance if this topic has already been discussed. But i just got 4 melira's and know the hydra and persist tricks which I've made a deck around. Is there any other good combos that are either black red or green?

Melira and {Black Sun's Zenith} with {Blowfly Infestation} out is a combo I use frequently. It's brutal if you're playing multiplayer.

{Melira, Sylvok Outcast} + {Phyrexian Unlife}

Add {Death's Shadow}, {Immolating Souleater} etc.

Now how exactly would {deaths shadow} be immune to his ability? {Melira} specifically says -1/-1 counters, wouldn't deaths shadow be a passive count and not actual counters?

He is talking about the phyrexian unlife combo so your life is at zero so he is a 1 drop 13/13

Oh got it. Unfortunately, I'm running black red green.  So couldn't play unlife. But that would be a great combo for my mill deck.

Actually, with Unlife your life total can be negative. A negative life will actually ADD to the {Death's Shadow}. -5 life means 18/18 for B.
