It's that time of year kiddos! Time to mindlessly order a list of new albums I've listened to this year. This year I didn't really listen to all that many different things, a combination of indifference and "blah" releases from favorite artists of mine. I believe the winner ran away with it this year. If you think I missed anything, feel free to post it here. I mostly listen to screamo, atmospheric black metal, instrumental rock music (post rock some would call it) and anything that just kinda sounds cool.  (last years list)

Almost made it
None. I had to struggle to put 10 albums on the list, everyone that made it outside of the top 5 were a stretch.

Biggest Disappointment
Arcade Fire   Reflektor
This album plays to none of the strengths of this amazing band. It is an album loaded with bad decisions and no one at the controls to hit "stop".

Very nice. That #8 and #10 though. Fantastic. I see a few things I slept on.

Moneekahh

I totally agree on biggest disappointment. But where is Vampire Weekend? Not even in your nominees! Rude! 😜

Steerpike

I can be happy with any list that has ...Like Clockwork high up.
+1

Steerpike

And wait, The Dear Hunter had a new release? I didn't even know!! Shame on me
