Is it bad form to run this card in EDH? I read that it varies in groups, but I figured I would get the imtg point of view on this card.

Personally, I dislike the card. To me, it ruins games, but to each play group their own. Spot land removal is one thing, but mass, I'm 100% against.

You will find that most players have issues with mass land destruction. Most players see EDH as the format where they can resolve the biggest spells ever. If nobody has lands, nobody can play the game. I don't really like this line of thought, because I believe that if a spell is legal in a format, nobody should be able to frown upon you for using it. But I do get it. Land destruction isn't fun for a lot of people. It creates an emotional reaction. It ruins the fun. EDH is supposed to be about fun. So yeah just ask whoever you play with if it's alright.

It's like when someone blows up my Sol Ring. All my other mana rocks can die but you kill my sol ring and I'll get upset :-/

Caininite

I am ok with it in my play group because the only one who uses it will only play it after they bring out Avacyn.

This is somehow better than just a mass reset?

Agrajagzz9

The only time I am ok with it is when a player as a board state that after the mass land destruction, they WILL win the game. Like a kaalia deck with kaalia and several other creatures already on the field. Like as a way to stop other players from stopping you

But if it is just to lock the game down or slow the game down then you are a jerk :)
