Last night I was browsing through the Portal Three Kingdoms expansion, using the wonderful database provided by Piotr on this app, and I realized something: every frickin card in that set is expensive! Even the basic lands are almost a dollar! And the legenda are almost never below 20, if not 40! Some are in the 200s. Wow. Do any of you folk have any of these (apparently highly collectible) horsemanship cards and such?

Thetrufflehunter

Nope. All's I have is the reference of the "P3K Box" from Friday Nights ringing in my ears...

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

They are so expensive because Portal Three Kingdoms was never released in the US. It was toward the Asian market so the only English editions of the cards are from Australia and New Zealand. Have you seen how much a box goes for? I saw one on Troll and Toad for $7200.

Wow, thanks for the info. I never knew that. Man some day I will have an {Imperial Seal}. Some day...

Too bad foils didn't exist for this set...
A foil {imperial seal}? Well congratulations, you have doubled the debt of our country.

I wish i had some of them. A friend of mine went to Japan and found a MTG shop that was closing. He found a black horsemen and a blue one. But more importantly he found me two Japanese  {Slippery Bogle} :3

Silent1236

And P3K cards are never reprinted, it seems, so crappy cards (see {Poison Arrow}) are still expensive for what they are. Or at least I haven't seen many reprints up until C13.

Brawler_1337

Yeah. I was considering {Three Visits} for my Azusa (Omnath, back then) Eldrazi deck. I figured, "It's another {Nature's Lore}, and it's a common! Why not include it?" $20, that's why.

I wanted to make a {Diaochan, Artful Beauty} EDH similar to the one on Friday Nights but then I saw the price of Diaochan (the Portal Three Kingdoms version).

My friend told me that they're expensive because of what everyone has said, but that they're basically cards from other sets with different names. I wanted {Capture of Jingzhou} for my edh deck and he was like "it's just {time warp}" so I was like Kay thanks I'll save 250 bucks!

Having a second time warp in EDH is pretty awesome! Not so sure it's 200+ awesome 😪

Falcon182

They reprinted a few cards from it.  {Borrowing 100,000 Arrows},  {Imperial Recruiter} are the ones I can think of.

I have a sealed Chinese language two player intro pack from P3K. Kinda fun, I don't think there are any amazing cards in it but its a cool collector item.
