 {Nettlevine Blight}
So. Can someone explain to me how this works? If I enchanted something of an Opponent's would they have to sacrifice the permanent. And would it then attach to something on my side of the field or theirs?

Kaleo42

You control the enchantment. The ability in quotes is placed on the enchanted permanent. This means the enchantment will eat permanent after permanent on THEIR SIDE ONLY. Pretty nasty card during any board stall.

But the card says " attach to a creature or land YOU control"

Which is why you enchant an opponents creature or land. It gives that creature or land that ability of sacrificing and re-attaching. Since it's their ability, it goes to something they control. The initial enchanting is not restricted, but it's highly recommended to put it on someone else's permanent!

It's like a black {kudzu} for permanents. Neat.

It DOES say "attach to land or creature you control", but it's first line if text is "enchant land or creature". Therefore no problem.

10/1/2007   Nettlevine Blight grants the triggered ability to the enchanted permanent, so "you" refers to that permanent's controller. The ability will trigger at the end of that player's turn, and that player chooses the new creature or land to attach Nettlevine Blight to. The player must choose a creature or land he or she controls.

Ahh. Gotcha. Wording is a little confusing.

Ok enough bumping a resolved thread but thank you everyone
