After seeing the wish lists of my brother, my cousins, and mine, my mother is thoroughly confused by magic and why sets are different. My favorite quote of the conversation was "Why does Ryan want a 'booster box' that has 36 identical cards!?" And keep in mind this was after about 25 of attempting to explain what a booster is, what fat packs are, and about card rarity within boosters. Sigh. She also kept saying "your brother wants something called 'the heros back pack'. What is that?" Lol! Me: "you mean THEROS FAT PACK, mom?!"

It's ok, it's the generation.  You will one day do the same with your kids.  And a quote from NCIS:

"Our computer tech went to Harvard, when he gets stumped he calls his 12 year old nephew."

'the heros back pack'
😂
This is hilarious

Maybe he does want a heros backpack. Did he really enjoy the show.

But seriously if your not around it you don't understand it. My wife got a list of stuff to get for her nieces and nephews.  Even the people at toys r us weren't sure on what monster high blah blah blah was and they deal with it every day.

Yeah, my mom was baffled when I spent $215 to finish a commander deck. I should show her the price tag of the Legacy Stoneblade I want to make...

Cracking up! Hilarious. Bless her heart but although she makes a lil fun of my "habit" my GF has tried to understand Magic. But she just can't keep all the lingo straight. She has started taking pictures of things at target and walmart to make sure it's nothing I need though. Lmao

Lol I use google images and send them to my wife when she is at those stores to look for stuff for me.

People I live within a reasonable proximity of have no idea there was an isle in Walmart specifically for trading card games. ._.

Half of them think a trading card game is something like Poker

Like I said. Be happy you get anything at all.

Please guys, don't take what your parents do for you for granted.

There are some people out there who don't celebrate Christmas because they have no family.

There are also people out there who don't have any money and their parents get them hand me downs at the best.

So please, it really hurts my heart to see people talk about not getting what they want or if they get money instead of what they asked for.

Happy holidays everyone. Enjoy your families while you still have them.
