I'm surprised no one has said Zaxbys! Their fries and special sauce are so good. I've been to the one in Columbia, TN and the one here

Oh elf yes! Zaxby's in general is so good. I found one 45 minutes from my house once on accident and got so excited. I didn't know they existed down here. I've only ever seen them in South/North Carolina.

If your a Carolina person, Bojangles used to have some pretty good fries. Haven't seen one since the mid '90s but they were delicious

My wife's family is from NC. Went there a few years ago to the reservation her mom is from and tried Zaxby's for the first time. Never tried Bojangles.

The have the best chicken sandwiches too!!

Also Whataburger has good fries, and they are even better with spicy ketchup

Well truth be known I make kick (butt) FF. I have an old school cast iron pot I use to boil my grease (gotta throw a little bacon grease in to add flavor) and thin slice all my potatoes. BOOM! Fast food got nothing on me. Lol. But smash burger if i'm feeling lazy.

Bacon grease brings up memories of last year's Boy Scout rock climbing trip.

One patrol deep fried their bacon in bacon grease which they stole from other patrols...

That was also the outing I came back to find a bag of trash in my tent...

On the subject of fries, my troop knows just about every in'n'out in Cali. Animal fries... Mhhhmmm...
