This is very minor. But if you play 6 basics why not (if you have them) convert into shocks so 3x {Breeding Pool} and 3x {Temple Garden} so you always have green for fogs

I only have one of each. I also like the basics being able to come into play untapped so I can T4 Verdict or Sphinx for a ton.

One of the changes I considering is adding {Merciless Eviction}. It's the most versatile wrath in standard right now. Only downside is that it can be countered, which isn't the biggest problem in the world.

True just a thought. And ya MEv. can be countered but it works well vs. a lot of decks AND destroys mono blue lol they have their board with 4 creatures and Thassa and you MEv. them and they're all gone whereas before Thassa would stay and they'd still Scry actually a big diff.

That and against control, I can just exile their Jace and Elspeth. Or 5 mana screw your Pithing Needle. xD

Although my store has very little devotion decks. Which is why mono black wrecked me on Black Friday. Ironically.

Ya I feel like Spinx does enough for you the card draw and extra GG out is good but 5 mana sorcery speed really makes you (as a control deck) vulnerable right. So consider that

That's why I took them out. It also feels like win more. Because when I can cast that and not feel in danger (6-8 mana) I either just need two more turns to win or I have the game locked down sufficiently with Elspeth/Jace/fog.
