Why are {ponder} and {preordained} banned?  I understand Jace...god do I hate all the jace planeswalkers.

Because they are good set up cards for combo decks for turn 3 victory. Wizards doesn't want modern games to end that fast. The fastest they want is turn 4 anything faster then that and it will probably be banned.

I think {Jace, the Mind Sculptor} should be unbanned in modern. Modern has so many ways to deal with JTMS. It won't be as dominate.

Lots of ways to deal with it.. No.. Cause you choose what your opponent gets to draw so its hard to deal with. Jtms is very very unreasonable. If it gets unbanned i want my {skullclamp} and my ponder/preordain back

This. He is a fricken house. Ways to deal with it yes. Are you aware of how many people played with jace? Nearly everyone.

I didn't like it when jtms was banned in standard. He wasn't a problem for me. Any agro or control that I ran could deal with him. But I do know the he was insanely over powered. He $120 price hasn't been close to being touched by anything in standard.

Exactly. You say jace wasn't a problem, but he WAS. Maybe not in casual play, but wizards major priority is tournaments. When he wasn't banned, he was a huge problem. Everyone used him. EVERYONE. Therefore he was banned

And everyone that ran him ran baby jace also as a 3 drop jace kill. Counters for everything and o-ring. The only reason that I have ever heard about why he should be banned was they didnt like the idea of 3 jace in the same rotation.
