Just wondering if anyone has tried a demon deck with  {Shadowborn Apostle}? Been mulling it over and honestly just not seeing anything worth taking the time for.... Anyone have a different opinion? Just curious. Maybe someone can change my mind.

I've seen someone build a Kaalia EDH deck with {Shadowborn Apostle}. Forget if it summoned out a demon or not, but it was pretty funny to watch.

Yeah, demon decks are hard enough as is trying to find the right synergy since most has a negative effect on the controller. So giving up all the space in a standard or modern deck I just cant see it. EDH yeah since all the extra room. Agrees it would be funny to watch though.

 {Griselbrand}, {Rune-Scarred Demon} and {Harvester of Souls} are the only demons I like.

I made an edh where you just keep sacing shadowborn apostles to stuff, get tokens from {Teysa, Orzhov Scion} and other stuff, then cast {Second Sunrise} and other stuff.  {Grimgrin, Corpse-Born} {Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper} {Vela the Night-Clad} would also be good comanders.

No matter what, make sure {No Rest for the Wicked} is in it. Im sure there is plenty of secret tech for a deck, like {Sphinx of the Chimes}.

I saw one silly one that ran Gris at an FNM right before he rotated out of standard. Just a bunch of {{Mulch}} effects and then {{immortal servitude}}. I honesty can't think of any demon better to get than {{Griselbrand}}.

{immortal servitude} is actually a pretty good card with her. Throw in some doom blades or red burns then a  {Master of Cruelties} and you could have something there

It's a hard deck that CAN work but spot removal kills it I always thought of self mill into {immortal servitude} would be a good way to do it

Agreed. Like I said before, I think demon decks are hard enough as is with all the self afflicition they cause.... I like the self mill into servitude though. That's a creative way to approach it. I think she only pulls from the library though after the sac. How do we get the demons back in the library after we possibly mill them? Splash Dimir for  {Psychic Spiral}?

Lol. Well i'm gonna ponder on this one. I really like the self mill into servitude. I'm a mill player anyway. I'll see what i can come up with if anything. Gonna try to keep it standard though. I actually just got my playable set of servitude for my sacrifice deck. Let's see what else we can do.

Like a few others have said, mill yourself then immortal servitude to get the apostles on the battlefield. An {elixir of immortality} to get the spell and your demons/lands bac in your deck and a {xadrith necromancer} or two so when you start sacrificing your apostles you get a nice army of zombies to go along with your demons.

{Shirei, Shizo's Caretaker} is the best option if you want to make an EDH deck around {Shadowborn Apostle}. It literally becomes "tutor every turn." It also lets you nab some fun creatures from other people.
