{door of destinies} naming shapeshifter
2 {progenitor mimics}

Play the door and name shapeshifters

Play the first mimic not copying stuff, it's now a 1/1 thanks to the door

Play the second mimic targeting the first one
Each turn you get a copy of the mimic letting you copy any creature on the field each turn. The enemy's army is now yours too! :D lol

Not even needing to name shapeshifters, just any creature type and play creature cards like  {Avian Changeling} etc and they activate the  {Door of Destinies} coming in.
If you also play blue and green, playing a {followed footsteps} and a {parallel lives} or two for a continuing build effect.

(Correction... This is an add on effect to the listed combo)

Moocow4u2

You need to name shape shifter for the first mimic to live or it'll be 0/0 but ya wow xD parallel lives and all those token generators are awesome! More mimics per turn! More of the enemy's army for you!

griffin131

That's what the {Door of Destinies} is for - so it's a 1/1 on the battlefield.

I can do one better: {Insurrection}. Throw in a {Sundial of the Infinite} and activate it in response to the EoT trigger of Insurrection, and you don't even give the creatures back.

I might be wrong, but when the turn ends, it is already over and sundial does nothing. Doesn't the card have to say "until the beginning of the next end step" to use sundial in that way?

Brawler_1337

Maybe. I don't know. All ilnow is that Sundial can do dumb stuff like this.

ChrisRodriguez

{Insurrection} + {Sundial of the Infinite} can get every creature and keep them. With just 2 cards...not needing so many cards.

Sardok

It doesn't work like that. {Insurrection} is not s delayed trigger; which means it won't be put on the stack at the end of the turn. This means that the sundial can't respond to it, therefore all creatures return to their owners' control after the sundial is activated.

Yeah, I just realized that now. Sundial even says "'until end of turn' effects end." Thanks for clearing that up.
