And also are the cards usable? Should I tear apart the decks and just use the cards in decks of my own?

Hell yes! Also I just leave them be so when friends come over we have 2 even decks to play with. Or if I'm trying to teach a new player it's great

Love having a few duel decks around. Most usually have at least a couple valuable cards and easy to play. when my nephew has friends over (he lives with me) I pull a few out and teach them about MtG. Gotta get the new genaration playing. Just picked up a couple Sorin vs. Tibalt. My base exchange still has tons of them at msrp.
