{grave pact} {pentavus} {bubbling cauldron}

Sac it back to pentavus, or gain life with the cauldron. Works with {ash nods altar for mana}

You can't sacrifice for multiple different effects.  Sacrificing doesn't use the stack.

Deathseide

Splash green for  {Parallel Lives} and/ or {doubling season} and you can use the different abilities in the combo alternatively.

he wasn't implying that. He said "or".

Flashley_ska

Yeah but this would be better as a lock out b/g combo with something like: {Carnival of Souls}   {Blood Artist} and {Parallel Lives} the parallel lives would be required for a lockout but getting a pair of blood artists or carnivals out would do the trick nicely too!
Other black lifegain or life swaps include:  {Deathgreeter} {Dross Harvester} or {Falkenrath Noble}, and lastly I would always play {jar of eyeballs} with pentavus.
Hope you like the above

Stromack

Thanks. Yes, blood artist is in my deck, as well as {disciple of the vault}. Like the { jar of eyeballs }!

Flashley_ska

The only disadvantage with disciple of the vault is unless you opponent is playing artifact creatures it doesn't combo as well with mass removal like {Damnation}, whereas Blood artist can rescue you from the brink vs a selesnya token spam or similar aggro with enough creatures, remember you still need to make it to seven mana to play with your pentavus.

Flashley_ska

Ok, so how about  {Essence of the Wild},  {Parallel Lives} and  {Pentavus}?
You would be making two 6/6 beasties for one mana, though you wouldn't be able to re-sacrifice them onto the pentavus, throw a {cathars's crusade} in and you've got even more threats!

Sacrificing a pentavite would trigger grave pact would it? Tokens just go away. They dont hit the graveyard do they?

Grave pact states that whenever a creature dies, not hit the graveyard. So yes it does :)

Right. Tokens hit the graveyard then fizzle.

I didnt think they hit the graveyard. Copy that good sir... I thought fizzled when leaving the battle field. Not when they hit the other zone. I stand corrected.

They move to the GY and are removed as a state based action, so they are technically in the GY until a player receives priority.

110.5f: A token that's phased out, or that's in a zone other than the battlefield, ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704. (Note that if a token changes zones, applicable triggered abilities will trigger before the token ceases to exist.)
