6 people x $6 entrance fee = $36 and you came first and only got $8? Dafuq? Is the prize pool half of the attendance money? So like 1st $8, 2nd $6, 3rd $4?

I think it was 2/3 of the entrance fees. I got 8, the two people who went 2-1 got $6, or their entrance fee back.
