I tried {legions initiative} as a 2 of but it rarely helped me. I always ended up wishing I drew something else. The flicker effect is nice but you also have to remember that once you do it you'll lose all enchantments and +1/+1 counters.

Which is why I didn't think that it would be bad. What else have you tried/changed?
Quite a few things. {sphere of safety} for one, ended up not needing it. {boros reckoner} ended up being ok at best. {mizzium mortars} was in there for a bit bc if you get to overload it it can clear boards, if not you can {pacifism} or {banisher priest} their remaining creatures. Uhmmmm there's more lol but I've been cutting it down for like 3 weeks so I don't remember everything.

Edit: oh yeah {indestructibility} and {gift of immortality} were also ok at best. Most of the time I'm swinging for pretty big chunks of damage before I even want to play them. Other cards were normally the better play at the time.
{magma jet} was in there. I'm still debating on whether I should run them or not. It's 2 dmg is ok but scry 2 helped a lot.

Lol well again I really like this deck. I have all but the lands and Aurelia so I'm going to try it!

Hope it works out for ya. I took 2nd at FNM with it only 75% complete.

Think it'll work with 12 Plains 8 Mountain? Maybe ill pick up a player of {Temple of Triumph} but they are not worth $5 but mana fixing is mana fixing also do you find the temples too slow for you?

I worried about this too. But it hasn't hurt me much yet. It's better later in the game then drawing a plains or on turn 1 when you don't have a 1 drop. Like I said mana hasn't been an issue so far. Even the shocks haven't hurt me much {ordeal of Heliod} fixes that.

Edit: oh and yes it'll work fine without any non basic. It's just fast. I originally tried it with all basics and it was just a tad slower when I needed a certain color of mana and didn't have it.

Let me know what you think. Oh a little tip, the ordeals trigger before blockers are declared. This comes into play more with {ordeal of purphorous} as it can get rid of a pesky chump blocker or hit your opponent for 3 extra damage.

I play GW Hexproof I know how the Ordeals work. BUT say you have 1 counter on a creature with 2 ordeals and swing only one falls off not both :)

Vampyvyrus

Say you hav 4 untapped mana. On your board you have a {phalanx leader} with {messenger speed} and 1 +1/+1 counter on him from the messenger speed targeting him. You cast 1 of each ordeals on him. That'll put him to 3 +1/+1 counters but the ordeals trigger on attacking putting him at 5 +1/+1 counters and both ordeals trigger making you gain 10 life and dealing 3 damage to whatever before blockers are declared. So yes they both trigger at the same time.

Mattao19

Different than my scenario say you have an {Anax and Cymede} with 1 counter on it and a Ordeal of Heliod say. And then you put an Ordeal of Purpjoros on. And swing don't you choose what resolves first? Bc my thinking was that you swing oooooohhhhhh now I get it lol my bad

Vampyvyrus

You got it now? Since both trigger at the same time I believed you'd choose which would resolve first. Correct me if I'm wrong.

No you're right lol I just confused myself.

DirtyMustachio

I think for what you'd use it for {boros charm} > {legions initiative} your permenant tokens will be stronger than anything that enchant provides.
