If I have a god out (I.e. {Erebos god of the dead},) and my opponent plays something along the lines of {Terminus}, does my god go away? It says it's not a creature, but the card type is still part creature. I think it's not affected, but I'm not sure.

It would depend on your devotion to black in that case if your devotion was 5 or higher then yes it would be put on the bottem of your library if your devotion was less then 5 then no your god is not a creature so it wouldn't be put on the bottem of your library.

If your devotion is 5 or more making your god a creature, you will lose him. Returning a creature to hand, exiling and returning to the library are not destroying.

That's what I meant. If your devotion isn't five. Thanks

It's because the gods are enchantment creature "spells." Spells being something that exists only in the stack (thus susceptible at that time to counters specifically targeting enchantments or creatures). Once your god has made it to the battlefield, his status as a permanent then takes into account the criteria that the posts above are referring to (allowing the possibility that it's category may not precisely reflect it's card type)
