Kamigawa was printed so magic could compete with the card game legend of the five rings for audience appeal.
The five rings?

It's called legend of the five rings its a very very complex card game based in like a Fudel Japan world, very interesting.

I hope they don't go back. Japanese culture doesn't interest me the much, and isn't YuGiOh already about that type of thing?

Not unless it's changed alot in the year I haven't played... There were very very few japanese based cards in that...

Oh. I've never played it before or watched the show. I thought it was about Dragon's and other mythical Japanese creatures fighting.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Is about Egyptian creatures. Although the main characters live in Japan I believe.

I personally believe a return to Kamigawa would be great I love the whole feudal Japan idea. Samurais and Ninjas to me are some of the coolest cards in Magic. Misplace a planeswalker or two into Kamigawa and have another big war of the Oni/Kami?
Yes please.

No. The eldrazi were released, and ravaged the plane. A few elves survived and used their magic (led by Nissa) to heal some of the forests. It could be saved.
