I noticed that it felt like Theros cards weigh more than normal cards from say Ravnica or Dragons maze.
Is it just me?

I'll tell you what, tomorrow 10/15 on my analytical balance at the laboratory, I will weigh an {Armada Wurm}, a {Boros Reckoner}, a {Blood Baron of Vizkopa}, and a {Heliod, God of the Sun} and let you know who's the heftiest (by a few micrograms, I would expect).

But if your opponent uses one of those skin tight sleeves in addition to their average sleeve, you can call them on it. All the cards should be sleeved the same way
