Is blood rushing considered a spell?

Since it targets and is casted from the hand, it almost seems like a spell.

Heroic combomaster would be a very powerful UC if that's the case

Afraid not. Bloodrush (ex. {Ghor-Clan Rampager}) is an activated ability, not a spell. It is not cast. This means it can't trigger heroic, can't be {Cancel}led, etc.
