Chandra's Phoenix is better than any creature here with the exception of the Sphinx

Yea, there are not enough creatures to justify running the raptor. And I told you, there is not enough burn for the pheonix, both will be dead weight in this deck

You don't need burn for the Phoenix to be good.  A 2/2 Haste Flier for 3 with the chance of returning is better than almost everything here by itself

It is a, no offense, terrible two drop for control.  There is about one decent creature two drop for control ATM, with {Omenspeaker}

There's a point when criticism is no longer constructive. Harping on Bird about the cards he clearly likes and wants in his deck isn't going to help him. Offering alternatives is fine, but please respect his opinions to run his own deck the way he wants to without being cynical. Thanks

Just a thought: for a good control deck you need good two drops: how about murmuring phantasm? Bigger defender than the drake, worth trading the 1 point attack and flying for in most match ups? If you don't go for that maybe consider {Wall of Frost} as a 3 drop stalling option?

I solitaried this a few times, and it is leaning on the chimera. Sure there's a combo were you can {ponder} every turn, but that's seldom. I realized though, that I need another three drop. So I added the warden because there were no other good three drop options...and the only other two drop option is {metropolis sprite}

I could add {cloudfin raptor}. But even with all the scrying It would be a two of
