Big issues with this combo. one, presumably you aren't holding out for 8 mana, so your arcanist will be unprotected for a whole turn around turn four, if he's not dead by the time the enchantment resolves your opponent should be kicking themselves.
two, as a weeny 1/1 he's not the best creature even with indestructible, as cards like {shrivel}, {wring flesh}, {stab wound}, {golgari charm} et al will easily remove him, and even if you've got silence encoded to him, that won't stop your opponent responding with the instants.
Perhaps with more counter sells in the mix you could guarantee the level of control needed to full it off?
