Breaking Bad is the greatest show on television. I cannot bring up enough ways to describe how much better Breaking Bad is then Dexter.

Even the Dexter subreddit has an "official Breaking Bad" thread. Dexter is like the Phantom Menace of television, so anticipated and so exceedingly bad.

Mikefrompluto

Hahah beautifully put.

Did you watch last night's Breaking Bad?

Also, I don't know when networks are going to learn that consistency is key to having a great show. Walking Dead and Dexter have had rotating showrunners and look how horrible they've turned out. Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy have had the same showrunner throughout and they're still pumping out good episodes/seasons. I could think of more examples but those are the only four shows on my radar right now. Trying to watch less TV and read more.

List of things that ruined Dexter:
⚫the writers strike: when the writers strike happened, mostly all of them did not come back. New show runner, while the old writers got more attractive gigs.
⚫Season 2: it was so intense and everyone in the mainstream began to watch. They could not top it.
⚫Lithgow: was the best "villain of the week", and inevitably ruined it for everyone.

I did watch Breaking Bad. I can't believe they ended the series like that with 2 episodes left. The show has been a series of endings. It's sad to see what Walt's empire has become. There is also consequences for Walts actions, and characters people care about.

Spot on with Trinity. Michael C Hall said it himself that Trinity couldn't be topped, so they went more in the way of being dramatic.

It was crazy dude. The title for the episode, Ozymandias, could easily apply to the whole series. I just wanted everyone to live, even Hank. But they acknowledged it themselves that wasnt a possibility. Gilligan said that was the best episode in the series. I don't see how with two episodes left. I can't even wrap my head around last episode enough to start theorizing what's going to happen next.

So bad. If you can't make something realistic (not that Dexter is realistic anymore, but you know what I mean,) then you should probably cut it. There was other things they could've done to get Hannah to leave the house.

Another unrealistic thing they did this season was a US Marshall not knowing Vogel's son was on Miami's top wanted list and getting himself killed. You mean to tell me that a federal agent is in Miami hunting a wanted criminal and somehow ANOTHER wanted criminal (who was at large for HOURS) slipped past his radar? UGH.

It's good to show resentment for your audience. Makes for some quality television.

Mercifully the most disappointing show ends tonight. I can't wait to see how Dexter escapes any responsibility for his actions, and hurts everyone around him. As long as Dexter is protected at all costs. Because that is, afterall, the reason we like show. Right guys? Hello? Is anyone out there?

It's compelling, intense, well acted and actually artistic. Metaphors and foreshadowing are expertly woven into narrative. Things actually matter and you know the characters care about them.

Extremely well written, character development like no other, and the acting is so good. I didn't think the goofy dad from Malcolm in the Middle would be such a good villain (that you root for) before I started watching it, but he sold it really well. The first couple of episodes are slow but it kicks into high gear afterwards and has no problem keeping the adrenaline pumping throughout the entire series.

Also, Vince Gilligan wrote on the X-Files. Which is reason enough to watch it.

I'm just ready for it to be over. It's turned into a caricature of itself.

Last two episodes of Breaking Bad will be 75 minutes instead of the normal 45. Yessss.

Well when you set the bar so low, even Dexter can manage to trip over it. That being said, I know the ending will not impress even the mightiest of Dexter devotes.

And yes, these episodes are longer - and I cannot wait. I will not be watching Dexter, probably not till whenever I get out of my stress induced coma (from Breaking Bad)

AMC played "Shooter" before last weeks replay of Breaking Bad. If there is a heaven (which there is not) this is it.
