I will not block communications with you Dudecore, I just don't understand why you speak these obscenities towards me and tell me that if I don't like it I can block you and get over it. I have read the old testement. The last time I checked, we are all fallen beings in total depravity in need of a savior.

Well I was listing some your options...we can discuss it at length - and I will most undoubtably be correct, or you can block me, get over it or be awoken.
What, that your interpretation of an ancient text whose meaning, use as a historic text, and overall context has been the subject of academic debate for centuries? Don't worry guys, Dudecore has it all figured out.

As for the topic at hand, there doesn't seem to be much to debate. What if these things were real has been the subject of speculative fiction for as long as these beings have been a part of popular consciousness.

The bible has been universally rejected as a historical document - except by theologians who merely need the text to be real to justify all the years of mental gymnastics required to grok that the actual creator of the universe - in all it's (alleged) omnipotence, omniscience, and omnibenevolence - came to the planet earth to favor a specific tribe, of a specific group of primates. Also this creator god only knew what people on the planet knew at the time, indicating it was written by the same tribalistic, capricious, superstitious people that god favors.

It's a myth, and this is the perfect place for this conversation. The god of Abraham is about as scary a villain that any fiction has ever produced, and people believe it's real to boot.

Not agreeing or disagreeing with your view but in my school the Bible is actually accepted as a historical reference.

Also to quote Thomas Paine, "a cruel god makes a cruel man"

you sir, really need to reread the old testement and find more than three college biology professors to talk theology with.

You want me to keep my thoughts to myself, but in doing so you oppress me in the same way! I will not block you. I will not convert to agnosticism.

I am open to debate, you do not have to block me, engage in conversation with me, or convert to any other such dogmas. I have not oppressed you, unless you consider upsetting your unfounded beliefs in a creator god oppression - then you're merely confused about the definition of "oppress".

you just commanded me to accept your beliefs as truth or block you only one post back, now you tell me to debate and do as I please. :/

El chupacabre is a big thing in my surrounding territory. It would be neat if they were real.
Goat sucker...it doesn't have the same ring in English.

It sounds perverted hahah.

I also would like to think that unicorns were real at some point in time. And dragons.

They just missed Noah's ark because they were too busy playing Halo: Reach for the stars! Lol.

And you sir need to elaborate on what i said specifically that you disagree with, and not flail weak ad hominem attacks about the nature of my knowledge on the subject.

Also the "Well I was listing some your options...we can discuss it at length - and I will most undoubtably be correct, or you can block me, get over it or be awoken." Is a list of some of your options - plenty more exist, I was avoiding a false dichotomy by listing stuff that in theory could be done to relieve your uncomfortability with the subject matter.

I believe all of the above by Dudecore is specifically what I disagree with.

Last time I checked, that's an opinion- not a scientific fact. Not hating on religion, just saying I hate when people pass their VIEWSas FACTS. Atheist? No... Stormcrowieth. And as the messiah, I dub you unholy to the almighty {Storm Crow}! Lol. But seriously, settle down, ice! Accept Dudecore's opinion! Just...

But really, just settle down... You think this and other people think that. So what? It's not a big deal.

"Well that escalated quickly..."

But in all seriousness, you may disagree with people but let's all calm down. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and opinions on religion, because they are so engrained into who we are, are unlikely to be changed because of an argument on a Magic app. Please either calm down or start a new thread so this thread can go on with its discussion on Myths.

Everything that Dudecore has claimed of my beliefs is also his "opinion" not a scientific fact.
