Silly thing that came to mind when I woke up. That satyr has a triggered ability that hits you. Wait till damage is done, then target that heroric white one drop that prevents damge while the satyr's ability is on the stack. That way you only get the good and none of the bad. To ba red and white don't mix well...oh wait.

When he is dealt damage it damages you. You can negate the damage to you. Sure he'll die under most circumstances but casual players love having set ups like this for all the shenanigans.

At the risk of sounding stupid I'm assuming were talking about favored hoplite. But it says that he prevents damage to himself the satyr does damage to the owner. Am I really dense I just don't see the connection

I'm on the same page, it doesn't work like they are saying. It could be good with fateful hour but that's not happening
