So the prerelease I think I'm playing at least 2 individual and 1 2hg match.  So far looking at w,u,g...

Dudecore

New duals are disappointing to say the least, but we've been playing with such a greedy mana base it's hard to remember all the years of not-so-good dual lands.

on the up side of the mana base. flavor wise, it really felt like ravnica was in a frenzy to accomplish something

Reminds me of when I first started playing... Had the original duals, they rotated. Then the ice age pain lands, they rotated. Then the enemy color tap pain lands... Just have to work your mana base

They shouldn't be rare. Uncommon at best.

While I do agree that they should not be rare, I do however think that they r good. They r basically giving u a free scry, which if u have ever used scry u know that one scry can save your life. I like the new lands but am really annoyed they used 5 rare slots for them, they should be uncommon.

Scry 2... Thats what they needed to say. Scry is exponentially better when it is greater than 1. One card can sometimes send away nonrelevant cards but is usually just "look at top card" because the chance of getting something worse is too high. When you scry >1 you are make an informed and impactful descision about your next draw instead of leaving it almost entirely ro chance.

Haven't been keeping up on any of this. Anyone have a link to a compilation of spoiled cards? I'm assuming Salvation, but I'm lazy. Link would be appreciated, or I'll get around to it eventually.

Nvm, overcame myself. Here you go guys: http://www.mtgsalvation.com/theros-spoiler.html

Woah... This set is weird...

I like a lot of these cards though! The duals are interesting.

gtfotis

I hope I don't regret preordering a play set of Daxos for 9 bucks :c

Birdbrain

DirtyMustachio

I agree. These lands do not deserve a rare slot just because they are guildgates with scry 1 ducttaped onto them. However these lands will no doubt see play. Not because they are good, but just because they are strictly better than the guildgates. They will be a 2-3 colored deck's only option.
