Theros (Baseless Speculation and Spoilers)

Getting a case of theros. Whatever colors I don't play are going in the binder. I was thinking bant. But now I'm really looking at esper/or just azorious

One of the dudes at my LGS bought four of the FTV: 20 and four Theros boxes ($175 bundle my store is doing for 1 of each). I ENVY THIS PERSON.

I wish my LGS had that, I would probably do that! You could easily sell some of the FTV and still make money, just the JTMS is going to $130!

Edit: They reprinted {Smite the Monstrous} but added a scry 1 and bumped up the Mana cost by {2}

Anyone else laugh at One Hundred Handed One? It's card art is awesome but it's ability to block an additional 99 attackers just made me laugh.

Just saw it and yes, I laughed my ass off. Had to spell it out so you know I meant it. Sad part is, as long as your opponent's creatures don't have trample, it has applications

Edit: Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Karametra's Acolyte are nice!

I know lol if they have trample it kinda sucks. But if it doesn't and you make him a) have regenerate or b) indestructible. He's ******* awesome

So I'm looking at the card {gift of immortality}.   Want to make sure I've got this right for removal purposes.

"When enchanted creature dies, return that card to the battlefield under its owner's control. Return Gift of Immortality to the battlefield attached to that creature at the beginning of the next end step."

So say in combat creature dies goes to graveyard w/ enchantment. End of combat/damage phase, creature returns to battlefield. Then 2nd main phase. Creature could then be targeted with a removal spell, and go into graveyard. And then @ end step gift of immortality has no valid target and fizzles out.

Am I correct on this from card text?

Slightly, only if you were to target a permanent with Devotion and change it to a color a deck isn't running. Ex. Target Heliod and say it has Devotion to black. I think the best application would be against that crazy Nykthos, Shrine of Nyx. It could shut down that land.

Initially it will reorder for about 15, then shoot up to about 25-30 because of hype and people wanting to play with it, then after a month or so it will most likely settle at around 20. That's my guess.

Yeah, that's what I estimate although magic is weird. I have a question about whether it will see any eternal play, I am going to go the Price thread though.
