Karma is basically the like or dislike button on any post you've had. It gets totaled up and that's the number under your avatar. It really doesn't matter, so don't let it bother you if you go into negatives.

With all due respect, I absolutely disagree. Karma does matter, please make sure you do not go into negatives.

Let me clerify, negative karma may effect others' opinions of you, but it has no effect automatically. There is no limit to karma. Also, most beginners hit a -4 or so drop for a bit as they learn what is and isn't allowed. They normally go to the positive afterward. Why do you have to turn everything into a debate Piotr?😄
