Yeah, just because a 'walker is indestructible doesn't mean it can't be killed. It's exceedingly rare for a Planeswalker to last long enough to drop an ultimate ability ({Sarkhan the Mad} being the main exception), so it's unlikely Ajani will be able to drop his ability.

Also, Sanctuary Cat doesn't fit at all in this situation. Just sayin'
