Among all the strategies involved with MTG, I was wondering what people's favorite strategy for victory? Tokens, control, goon's etc....and which were to most difficult to convert to EDH. Just lookin for personal opinions and see which is the dominant opinion

Caininite

I like sacrifice mechanics. Sacking my creatures to damage opponents, bring back creatures from graveyard, forcing opponents to sack their permanents etc etc. Jarad is my golgari lord, all bow before him.

Caininite

 {Tajuru Preserver} is a meek traitor (when not in my deck) and  {Sigarda, Host of Herons} is a filthy filthy $&@?#!  And don't get me started on {Angel of Jubilation}

Agreed, I recently made a {borborygmos enraged} land destruction style deck. Took along time to get the synergy but it is devastating now. Defiantly a favorite among the aresensal and helpful when asserting dominance :)

Gorzo

{Insurrection} is a fun way to end the game.

Caininite

That reminds me I still need to get  {Homeward Path} for my decks...

Spikepit

Honestly, the Commander 21 damage rule because people (at least in the areas I play in) always forget about it.

KILLERBEE

 {Scion of the Ur-Dragon} into  {Dragon Tyrant} with either {Triumph of the Hordes} or a +5/0

Mlerner12

Honestly?

{Mazes End}. So hilarious.

Mlerner12

What's the "commander 21" rule?

FlickerYourOwnIdentity

{Corrupted Conscience} has won me multiple games against my friend Mayel deck.  It is always funny the first time you pull that on somebody. :)

What's the "commander 21" rule?

If a player's commander does 21 or more damage to the same player over the course of the game, it is considered lethal damage.

My friends and I have stopped using the 21 damage rule - it's annoying to keep track of, and it limits (ever so slightly) creativity in deck possibilities. Got a super fun life gain deck, and have combo'd your way to a million life? Doesn't matter, that little 5/5 commander over there I can't block is lethal for no apparent reason.

KILLERBEE

 {Omniscience} into  {Conflux}, search for  {G}{Doubling Season},  {B}{Vraska the Unseen},  {W}{True Conviction} or something, {U}{Venser, the Sojourner}, {R}{Fervor} and I believe that's it.

Arzair

I have something similar in a variation of a sliver edh, with the vraska tokens ending up being slivers...

Gorzo - really? No on commander kills? There are entire decks built around this idea (voltron) and I believe it forces good game play.. As for extra work lol I get it, but I use a notepad and a pen, because honestly there are tons of things to keep track of in edh anyway... Also there is an app (this app!) that has a life tracker with built in general damage for tracking all of it. :)

My favorite way to play aka.. Win... Can be summed up in one word.  Original.  That's why I absolutely love edh, so much variety.

Rasser

{Skullbriar, the Walking Grave} and  {Varolz, the Scar-Striped} could be fun.
