Deer trails, Colorado is debating on whether or not to allow its citizens to get a permit to be able to shoot down drones. If you shoot one down that has federal markings on it you get $100 dollars
What is everyone's opinion on this?
I think it's stupid and shouldn't be done
If you want the link to the article I can post it

Mikefrompluto

Link please. I would like the full details.

Other than potential bullets falling on innocent people from missed drone shots, I agree with it. The fact that we have drones on US soil is sickening.

Mikefrompluto

As the article says, it's more than likely an act of protest.

I think would be cool for a novelty item more or less

Gorzo

There's too much stupid in this equation.

So we have drones flying over our own territory doing god-knows-what (Stupid)

+

Gun-toting idiots firing wildly into the air trying to shoot them down (really stupid)

+

Encouraging idiots to fire at them more by offering them money? (Extremely stupid)

=

Gee, what can possibly go wrong here?

Vyse

There's actually a really easy way to make a homemade e.m.p esque device to overload these drones from a moderate range, I don't have the article anymore but a group had tested it and everything.

Dudecore

Shoot the drones down, I'm all for it.

Dudecore

Maybe they can join a drone shooting club, learn how to do it. We can all stand to learn a lesson about shooting them down.
