So with no tap lands reprinted in m14 where does everyone think the dual lands with go for theros? Trying to decide on what to do for my sliver deck.

Crapshooter

I'm personally hoping for alara style lands that can produce three colors, but with ravnica being gold I doubt they'll do that. So maybe enemy filter lands?

imthelolrus

I wish they'd bring back the filter lands. /shrug maybe we will get brand new ones. Sweet legendary ones? :D

izik99

I'm hoping for some kind of mono-land instead, like maybe

Hades' Gates
Land- Swamp
~ enters the battlefield tapped.

I think try will end up re printing or printing some new dual lands, the wizards usually try and keep the mana base strong and the loss of the tap m13 dual lands would do some serious damage to three color decks, but they could just decide to try and push the meta back towards two color decks. But I do not believe they will do that. So they should have some dual lands in the next set, not sure wich, but I do think they will.  I do not believe they will be re-printing any mono colored lands though izik99. (They do have some like that though izik99 instead though it was comes in tapped,  add one ⚫ to mana pool, then sac it and add ⚫⚫ to mana pool, if they were to print any it'd be those. I forgot what they are called but they wouldn't be to tough to find, have a couple in my edh deck)

Those were originally printed in fallen empires... It would be interesting to see a dual version of those... Keep the first ability. Second ability tap: sac to add 2 mana in any combination of (allied colors) to mana pool

{Grove of the Burnwillows} or maybe another set based on one of the good land types seen in future sight is what my fingers are crossed for.

Agrus Kos, Enforcer of Truth

The game has too good of a mana base right now. That's the reason they came up the {Fiendslayer Palladin} and {Tidebinder Mage}, enemy color hate creatures. They also made cards like {Burning Earth} to screw the three and four color, all lands are shocklands decks. Don't be suprised if they don't do a lot with multi-colored lands until after the RTR block goes out, It was too powerful.

That's what I'm saying! Let's get some Grove action! Or some {Horizon Canopy}/{River of Tears}/{Nimbus Maze}. They all have really unique effects! I think Maze would be the not interesting cycle due to shock lands being in Standard.

ChrisRodriguez

I don't think they will do any dual lands in theros. I think there will be rare and maybe mythic rare lands, but not dual lands. Wizards has spoiled standard players for far to long, but I do think they will just slow the game down by making the mana a little more inconsistent. I think that's why a card like {Lay of the Land} is back in standard. I also think wizards is gonna try an push mono colored decks more in theros.

Or they could do something radical, such as dual lands that actually say they are basic lands?

imthelolrus

Yeah, I want sweet lands similar to the kamigawa ones like {Eiganjo Castle} {Miren, the Moaning Well} et al.

Crapshooter

They already announced theros will have dual lands

Hmm would love to complete the cycle of man lands from wwk (  {Stirring Wildwood}  {Raging Ravine} etc ). But maybe they think mutavault is enough.
