Mono Black Standard Viable?

I was wondering everyone's opinion on the possibility of mono black being a thing in standard. M14 seemed to help the cause a little bit.

Possible. I've been thinking about it too. Won't be like the old days but maybe viable.

That seems to be the question with each new set hahah. I certainly think it's possible, especially when the M10 lands rotate out. WotC has already said with the loss of those lands, they're hoping to make three color decks less consistent and harder to pull off. It'll just take someone giving it a try and actually doing it before we know if it'll work or not.

I got third (possibly second due to some mix up with scoring) tonight rocking a limited (sealed) mono black deck.
Not sure how solid those cards would be in constructed but  {Liliana's Reaver} rocking  {Mark of the Vampire} was awesome.
