i have a question regarding lightning greaves' ability - when i already cast my auras to my opponent's creatures, say pacifism, arrest or prison term, then he cast his lightning greaves and attach it to all his creatures, one by one since there's no cost needed to attach it,  would all my auras be taken off from all the creatures on that turn?

That_Guy

The auras die as soon as its equipped, (not 100% sure though)

No the auras stay attached to the creature the lightning greaves keeps the creature from being further enchanted. The greaves it self doesn't have the ability to destory enchantments.

calixar

that's what i thought since the aura is already attached to the creature and it is not a target anymore so the shroud effect wont affect the auras.. i hope our understanding is correct.

Gorzo

Shroud does not remove auras that are already on the creature. Protection can (if applicable), but not shroud. And since equip is sorcery speed, lightning greaves can't be moved in response to the aura being cast to prevent targeting/fizzling the spell.

thanks for the inputs guys.. next time we play, i wont allow my auras to be eliminated again.

Empathie

Does the same thing happen with other equipment?

calixar

i would think so, as long as the equipment are already attached to the creature prior to the greaves.
