So i was wondering my international mtg online people who i occasionally talk to and don't talk to. (That was a mouthful)
How does you school system work?
Example:
Here in Australia its pre-school, then onto grades kindergarten-6 is primary/public (elementary) school, then onto highschool which is grades 7-12, and then theres the optional uni/college/tafe.

I think for NA it is generally the same thing but it depends on the size of the school ( wether they can fit all the grades or not) for me I went K1-G9, then high school G10-G12

9-12 (High School)

The best school is homeschool, and luckily homeschooling is still legal in the UK.

Homeschooling is still good in the US I have several friends who were homeschooled

As a teacher I believe homeschooling is the ideal learning environment if parents truly invest in  the child's learning. I'm a dang good teacher but I cannot give each child the personal attention or a specifically tailored learning experienced that a homeschool parent can. That said, I've seen parents who are too lazy to really provide enough learning and those children struggle in the real world. It takes a dedicated parent to do my job but I know they can do my job better if they are dedicated.

But if you live in a small enough town your teachers have a chance to be a little more personal then you normally can get with bigger cities.

School was incredibly easy. If I would have dedicated myself to work. I could have easily topped my grade. There were some cool teachers, but most of them didn't care (high school). I scraped by my senior year with a 1.85 I think. Had too many friends and fun things to do. I prefer not to waste my time.

Anyways, the system goes:
k-4 Elementary
5-8 Middle
9-12 High

Still graduated above a 3.0 GPA along with a decent ACT score. I'm a student concentrating on screenwriting. If I can sell a couple short films at first, I'm definitely going to try to work on set as a gaffer or a camera assistant. We'll see though. I could always try the Youtube route.

School is very irrelevant to your chosen career path then. School or no school, if a company thinks a script will make them enough money, they don't care how well you did in school. Good luck with your endeavors!

Thank you very much. it's true that public education didn't help much when it comes to my career. The school I'm in now is an amazing experience to put me ahead of the game. It has helped me a lot with my spelling and grammar, character building, story structure, and pitching. School is still relevant, but my grades aren't important.
