The fact that {preordain} is banned in modern is way beyond my comprehension. I just don't understand it.

Birdbrain

Maybe DCI discovered some broken way to use it?

It is. That's why im baffled as to why {preordain} is banned but {serum visions} is not.

With {serum visions} you're drawing a card blind THEN scrying.  With {preordain} you're scrying first THEN drawing a card.  You get the card you want NOW rather than waiting a turn.  {Preordain} is almost always better, unless the blind draw gives you what you want.

Im just looking at the fact that serum lets you dig deeper. Unless you decide to throw the cards from preordain on the bottom and then draw a card.

I guess but if you want a specific card  {Preordain} is much better

I personally like {Preordain} more just because you can pick and choose.  With {Serum Visions}, you can draw into your 10th land, but with {Preordain}, you can ship it and possibly draw into something useful.

Hey guys, I started a thread in discussion about scrying situations and the best cards to use.  Let's move this discussion there.  I think other would enjoy this...
