I have a box of MM that is burning a hole in my closet door. Open or don't open? I got value from my other box but I don't know if I can get lightning to stike twice... Maybe I'll trade packs for cards. Hmmmm... Stay tuned.

Maybe attempt to box map it? Then sell the rest unopened

Idk man, I couldn't do it... I would just open it. I'll say most boxes, based on my own experience arent insane value. (eg goyf)

Odds are you'll break even, or close to it. Not likely to get a foil 'goyf to put you way ahead. Nor would I box map it. It does make money sense to do so, but its just plain evil and can break someone's dreams. Honestly, hold on to the box until the printing is stopped (soon) and then sell it on eBay with a reserve of the lowest price you can find (probably at least $300) so you know you'll make your cash back.

It depends what you will do with the money? For example if you intend to buy upcoming standard boxes, then open it cause at least you are almost guaranteed to break even.

If you can afford to sit on it, do it. Modern will still be around in a few years and the value of that box may rise a bit more.

I know the feeling. I have one also and doing the same. But I have been trying to keep a few sealed boxes from other sets too. Out of sight out of mind. But it does make me want to buy more packs to open
